SAY HELLO TO
Pola and Potato are a bonded pair that need to be adopted together.
Pola (and her son Potato) came into Almost Home after someone was trying to get rid of them at a garage sale. She had a total of two babies in the litter but sadly her other pup did not make it. Pola came to her foster home when Potato was just over a week old. Apparently distressed from recent motherhood, change of locations, and fear of what is happening to her and her baby took a bit of time getting used to and being comfortable around her new surroundings. She found comfort in the darkened, blanket filled closet area where she spend most of her time caring for her newborn. She has been the most attentive, caring mom to him... even now when he's done breastfeeding and they get treats along with their other foster friends, she will sit next to him well after she's done eating to ensure no one takes Potatos treat as he finishes eating it. They have a routine of playing for about 20 minutes every morning, every afternoon, and every night before going to sleep together cuddled up next to each other. Pola especially becomes distressed when she sees Potato not around, and it would be unfair to separate the bond that these two have; therefore this family needs to be adopted together. Pola is fully housebroken, loves to be cuddled and held. She is extremely gentle, and would do excellent with kids of any age. Great with all other dogs and cats. She does like to bark, like most chihuahuas, has shown a lot of improvement in quieting down when foster mom tells her to be quiet. Both are crate trained and sleep though the night without crying at all. Potato is just a tiny bubble of innocence and happiness, tail only stops wagging when he's sleeping. He sticks to his moms side and follows her every footstep. He is fully puppy-pad trained but also goes potty outside. These two would bring a great amount of joy to any family, but one is not complete without the other.
